Necklace with Removable Rosette

For this necklace, I used two packages of 5/16 flat washers and some black velvet ribbon.

I weave the ribbon in and out of the washer so that they lay slightly on top of each other.  When I am finished, I added end caps and clasps to the end just like I would on a regular necklace.

For the clip, I used turquoise ribbon and made it into a flower rosette.  Then I used some black material and made a circle and glued the rosette on the top. I added a clip to the back.  The clip becomes very versatile because it can be used on the necklace, as a hair clip, or as a broach.

Here are the supplies I used for the Broach:

A special thanks to my daughter for modeling for me!  :)  Here is a close-up side view of the clip:

Here is the same necklace with a singed flower broach.  I have a tutorial on my blog RIGHT HERE if you want to know a little bit about making this type of flower.

Have fun creating!  :)  I am LINKING UP HERE and
Go show them some love and check them out.  You will be glad you did :)

"New Moon" Inspired Bracelet

My daughter and some of her friends are going to see New Moon at 2:30 am on Friday. We decided it would be fun to get together before the movie and make bracelets.

Here is my New Moon inspired look:

Hardware to Jewelry

Yesterday I came across this website that showed some different ideas for making jewelry out of washers. Yep, washers. I was having so much fun creating with them that I ended up making 15 different necklaces! I am not sure what I am going to do with 15 necklaces made from washers, but I am sure I will figure something out! :)

To give credit where credit is due, here is the site that I found with the idea. CLICK HERE.

I used that idea as a spring board for the other necklaces I made that don't look like that one did. I used rub-ons, scrap paper, jewels, ink, etc. to create the others. Hope you like them!

Below this post is a slide show with pics of all the necklaces that I made. The pictures really don't do them justice. They are WAY cuter in person :) I would LOVE to have some comments about what you think about my creations.

It was fun using some creative mojo yesterday. LOVED IT! Now if only the mess could clean itself up!
