Wipes Snuggie

Thanks to those of you who listened to read my rant yesterday.  I don't want to have my little venting session to be taken as I am leaving Paisley Passions, or the blogging world.  That is certainly NOT the case!  I am just searching for a way to make my blog the best it can be.  So, thanks a BUNCH for your sincere and very kind comments!  I am sure I will be making changes as time goes on, but when I do, they will hopefully be changes to make my blog better!  :)

Enough of that!  Let's get to this weeks creation!  I had so much fun making this weeks "creation".  Let me tell you how the idea started.  I was sitting in my craft room ( for those of you who have emailed me, don't worry, I am going to do an entire post about my craft room w/pics next month) and it was time to refill my wipes.  Having wipes nearby where I am letting my creative juices flow is an absolute must!  Maybe I am just a messy crafter, but they are something I can't live without in my craft space.

Well, normally what I would do is buy a new wipes container and "bling it up".  Yep, I would add vinyl, or jewels, or mod podge scrapbook paper on them.  I mean, afterall, I can't just have a plain ol' wipes container sitting around in there, RIGHT?  ;)

Well, sadly, these "blinged up" wipe containers don't last forever.  After being taken to expos and drug around in my tote, they look too beat up to put in my craft space.  So, I was thinking, THERE MUST BE A BETTER WAY!  Then I came up with an idea, how about a Wipes Snuggie???  Yep, that's right, a "Snuggie" for my wipes.  That way I could just pull it off and change it to a new wipes container when I need to.  What a novel concept!

Here is the one I made for my craft room:

They are SUPER SIMPLE to make too!  Just take a measurement around the wipe container, then cut the material about 1 1/2 times that length.  Measure the width, and cut it twice that size.  Then fold the material in half, sew it to make a long "tube".  Add a piece of elastic in the middle, sew it shut, and add some bling to the front.  Then, slide it onto your wipes.  Easy as that!

Here is one I did using an old pair of denim pants.  I LOVE how it turned out.  I actually gave it to a friend of mine for a baby gift over the summer.

Last but not least, is another one I made, well, really just for fun!  I wanted to mix a bunch of different materials and some ric rac and see what I could come up with.

Here is how my last one turned out:
