SOOOOOO FRUSTRATED!!!

I am not sure what is going on with my Paisley Passions account. It seems that the past two months have not been kind to me!

My account got hacked and so I was locked out of it for a week until Google/Blogger got it worked out. Stupid hackers.

In case you hadn't noticed, I didn't post Thrilling Thursday or Fun w/Food Friday this week. Well, it wasn't for a lack of trying!!! It has taken me FOUR days to try and get my account to let me login. I am not sure what is going on. . .it takes FOREVER and a day to get answers from Blogger, so they haven't been much help.

I have a question for you readers (if there are any of you left after all of this!) I am SERIOUSLY thinking of switching over to WordPress. What do YOU think? Have any of you done the same??? Pros? Cons? Leave a comment and let me know :)

Hopefully I will be able to log on this week and get all my parties up and running!

I had trouble this past week logging into my blogger account also. It was driving me mad!! I don't have wordpress (obviously) but I have friends who do and they seem to like it but I don't have any pros/cons for you

I am also considering switching. I have a sponsor Blogelina , who has classes and e-books on making the switch. Her blog has a ton of free tips too...she will be giving away 3 free spots to her classes on my blog in August, so if you haven't swapped over yet and are still considering come check it out. There are lots of bloggers I know who have recently made the switch, and they love it...plus I have heard from lots of bloggers who have been on for at least a years, they also have no complaints...Hope you get everything sorted out...and I will definitely still be here waiting cause your blog rocks!! ~April @ Wildflowers & Whimsy

Also forgot to mention, I was having blogger trouble and switched from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome per (quite a few)fellow bloggers suggestions...I don't like change, but I LOVE Chrome...unless the start having some serious bloggers style glitches, I don't think I will ever go back, plus it fixed all my blogger troubles...

Lori I'll be following, I love your blog. Sorry you're having trouble with Blogger. I don't know why (knock on wood) that I haven't had any problems... but if it's an easy switch I might be with you...

I totally understand your frustration...I have been having blogging problems with blogger too although I am too afraid to try wordpress! ;) I did switch to google chrome and it seems to have helped!

I have been having trouble leaving comments on certain blogs. Only ones with the comment box directly under the post. I can comment on the pop up comment boxes like yours though. Weird, huh?
Let me know how you like it if you make the switch.

I was so disgusted with blogger that I made the switch to wordpress hosted on my own domain last weekend. I am sooooo in love with wp!!

You can email me and I'll be glad to share with you what all I've learned thus far. I wrote a bit about it over here - http://screamingsardine.net/2011/05/moving-to-wordpress/

Bear in mind that post was written on a blogger blog and then imported over to my new blog, so it doesn't make sense at first.

Cheers,
Tracy

I use Chrome as my web browser too. I am not having any login problems but a couple weeks ago there was comment problems.

I wondered what happened to you. I hope it gets worked out.

I know that Blogelina has a pretty affordable package to make the switch from blogger to wordpress. A lot of people seem to be switching.

Enjoy your week, I hope it is better than last week (for blogging).

I use firefox and I rarely if ever have a problem with blogger. The only time I have experienced a problem is with loading pictures, but my picture files are large, and so they can take quite a while to load. Otherwise, don't have problems logging in ever.

I haven't moved, though I have to admit the thought has crossed my mine lately. My issues with blogger aren't as bad as some, but I can't comment on many blogs and in general blogger is running painfully slow for me. Better than my mom, who is getting kicked offline if she looks at anything on blogger. If you move, I'll be interested on hearing how it goes for you. For now, I'm been too afraid to attempt the move, but if things don't improve soon, I might not have a choice.

I haven't moved yet either but can understand your frustration. I haven't been able to comment on my own blog in a month!

I hear great things about wordpress but you can't run ads on it or do anything with income as far as I know. And while it's not the reason why I blog, I seriously am hoping that part picks up because I wanted to take extra earnings toward claiming my Polish passport and my two daughters Polish citizenship and also saving to buy a place in Poland. So, I won't switch to that.

My brother bought a great (but expensive) program for creating your own blog and we will be working on starting his own and then switching mine to that if it works out well.

Good luck!

I plan on moving this year. My friend did it successfully earlier this year so I feel a bit more comfortable doing it.

I can never see GFC on people's blogs with blogger. Oh and in order to leave a comment where there is a pop up I have to hit 'publish your comment' like 4 times.

Wordpress is great! You will love it. I think it's easy to make the switch yourself and you can take everything with you. Your posts, your GFC followers,... things like that. Email me with any questions if you need help.
