Lost?

Dear Blog,

Sometimes I feel as though I am getting a little lost on my journey with you.  What do I mean?  Well, after attending Bloggy Boot Camp yesterday, I have started trying to think about where I am going with you.  What am I actually trying to achieve?  This little ol' blog of mine started out as a way to share my creative passion.  I am passionate about creating.  Give me a DIY, home decor, craft, or any kind of fun project, and I am a happy girl.  Starting a blog just seemed like the perfect place to share my passion.

Recently, I have had thoughts of changing your name.  When I started the blog in July, Paisley Passions seemed great.  Now I wonder. . .is that the name I really want to keep?  Do I want to start fresh?  Do I want to keep building you?  Do I want to start an Etsy shop?  Do I want to host more parties?  Do I want to share more of my own creations?  Do I want to pay for my own domain?  Do I want to stay with Blogger, or should I switch to Wordpress? Do I want to do this, or do I want to do that?  See what I mean. . .I am confused.

I think maybe, just maybe, I am so overwhelmed with information from the Boot Camp yesterday that I just need to step back, take a deep breath, and figure all of this out slowly.  No rash quick decisions.

For now I know that I love nothing more than to share my creative passion with others.  There is really nothing more satisfying than to have someone comment on my blog and say that something I made inspired them to make something of their own.  So that is the one constant you will find here.  I will always create stuff, and share my journey with you.  Some things may be great, others, not so great, but I will share all I learn throughout this creative process with you on my blog.

Thanks to all of you Paisley Passion readers out there.  I love that you stop by and visit my linky parties, use my linky library, and most of all, that you take time to comment. It makes it all worth the effort to know that there are people out there who are actually interested in what I post!  :)

Now, off to get tomorrows creation ready to share.

Thanks for reading my boring, and uncreative post!  Sometimes I just need to write down what I am thinking in order to help me figure it all out :)

Not boring at all - a great post! And I look forward to watching how things unfold for your blog. Maybe I need to go to a blogging boot camp myself...

I think youre doing great at what you are already doing. But I understand all the questions.. I too find myself wondering the same things. Although my blog is not very big.. only about 80 followers. LOL But I still want it to be good, and interesting. :)
Im sure what ever you decide to do it will be great, as long as its true to you and your passions. :)

It is kind of difficult decision, but do it what you like, with same passion.

I feel the SAME way. Do I want to invest 40+ hours a week and change my love for this hobby to a job and end up hating it?
So many ideas.
But I really do like your blog the way it is, if you'd like to know.

I think this is a normal thought process that many if not all of us have or will go through. I didn't set out w/any specific goal in mind ( and still don't have one...goal I mean...although some would argue that I also don't have a mind). I really enjoy your blog, link parties etc. and whatever direction you go, I'm pretty sure I'll still be there :)

Don't you hate it when you start rethinking your blog! You gave yourself the best advice by stepping back and letting it all sink in. The right answer will come from that decision.

I ended up getting myself a .com last year, and then renewed it for 2 more years a few days ago. So I guess my blog is in it for the long-haul. Also, I too have thought about jumping the Blogger ship and going over to Wordpress...still hemming and hawing about that one though.

Good luck on what you decide to do. Personally, I love everything about your blog!

I'm not gonna lie. I LOVE paisley...and your blog title actually caught my idea before your great projects & beautiful, creative heart did...so I personally love your blog's title, but do understand (especially) making sure your passions are aligned with what you're actually doing. You rock & as many of the other ladies said, I'd still follow no matter what changes come....unless you go grunge or something. ; )

Oh boy do I know what you mean. I woke up Sunday morning with my blog on my brain and finally had to decided like you did to not do anything rash. I keep telling myself that I can take weeks or even months to figure everything out.
It was so great meeting you and for what it's worth, I think your blog is really creative and I'm impressed. I can't wait to follow your future posts!
