Plastic Flowers. DURABLE!

I needed some flowers for a project that I am doing. I couldn't find what I wanted because I needed them to be durable. So, I came up with this little idea.

I punched 1 -1/4 in. and 1 in. circles out of flexible cutting mats. Some other items I thought of that you could use would be: a for sale sign, plastic water or soda bottle, or anything that is flexible plastic that your punch will go through. They actually punched out pretty easily!
Then I laid them out and spray painted them colors that match the project I am working on.

I glued four 1-1/4 in circles together for the flower base. I just used a hot glue gun.
Then I glued four 1 in. circles together and placed a button in the middle for the bud. You could use a gem or pearls, or whatever you wanted for the bud.
Then I glued that on top of the base. Again, I just used my handy dandy glue gun.
Next, I glued them on my project. Want to know what the project is??? Well then check back later (I should have them posted in the next day or two) for pictures of that.
Super easy. Super fun. Super durable.

Cute! It was worth the whole in the desk! I may have to make some of these and make them into clips for Lindsay's hair. They would be cute for that.
