OH! Happy Day! :)

I found a bread box!!! Oh yes indeedy I did! I went to D.I. and low and behold, there was a bread box for $5 waiting for me to purchase!!! I was so happy!

Now, I just need to do my transformation and share the results :)

On The Look Out!

If anyone is out and about in thrift stores, garage sales, or has an old one that they no longer want, PLEASE think of me! :)

There is a project I am SO wanting to try and I need a cheap breadbox in order to do it. New they are kind of expensive. I know a lady who found hers at a thrift store for $5 bucks!!! I am hoping that eventually I will find one for $10 or less.

Coasters and a Snowman or Two ;)

I have a couple of bored 9 year olds at my house that are anxious for Christmas to come and needed to use some of their restless energy. We found an idea online and decided to create some of our own. They did the entire project on their own and I think they turned out great!!!

My hubby is a big coaster user. He always has been one that needs a coaster. I was watching a show one time (can't for the life of me remember what is was!) and a guy came in and sat his drink on the table, his friend turned and said to him, "What are you an animal?" because he didn't put a coaster down. It cracked me up because that would be my hubby for sure!

Anyway, people at work had been teasing him about the coaster that he uses at board meetings, etc. So, he decided it would be great to make all of them a personalized coaster. Here is what I came up with. I will post a supplies list below. They are super easy and I think they turned out great. I ended up making 22 of them :)

Supplies: 4X4 in tile, vinyl, felt circles (for the bottom), and some type of sealer (I used some stuff I got at Hobby Lobby called Triple Thick). I used my cricut to cut the vinyl and then applied it to the tile and sealed it. Placed the four felt circles on the bottom and was done :)

Busy Creating. . .

I have been busy creating a bunch of stuff for Christmas. I can't post pics right now because I don't want to ruin anyone's Christmas by posting what I am giving them for Christmas!

I will be posting my new creations next week. Until then I will be busy making a mess in my craft room and wishing that someone else would come along and clean it up for me ;)

Feeling the Need. . .

My craft room has been sadly neglected while I have been so swamped with school! I really need to get it reorganized and put back together. It is hard to feel inspired to organize it when I don't know how long we will be living here, if I knew that we were here permanantly, I would have a BLAST reorganizing. Oh well, I am still feeling the need to organize, so temporary or not, I am off to just do it! :)

Neighbor Gifts. . .

So, here is the idea that I used for my neighbor Christmas gifts. . .

I actually didn't come up with the idea, I "craft-lifted" the idea from HERE.

The idea wasn't mine, but the corny poem was :) I thought it was pretty dang creative if I do say so myself!

They were super fun to make and I think that the neighbors should actually get some use out of them. I would think they were cute if someone gave them to me!

So, I came across this site and it said that I could get a photo put onto a canvas for FREE! Yep, an 8X10 for FREE!!!

It's That Time of Year. . .

I found something SUPER DEE DUPER cute that I am going to make for neighbor gifts. Do know what the best part is??? It is super dee duper inexpensive too! Gotta love that, right???

I am cleaning my craft room right now so that I can sit down and mess it up again making neighbor gifts!
